SSSD

http://www.techrockdo.com/linux/centos-authentication-with-sssd

  • purpose: install sssd on one of the nectar node, authenticating against kerberos server
  • run kinit then enter password
  • klist to check
  • change to the user account, set up nimrod stuff: database, paths, …
  • run as normal
  • install rsh-server
  • in the config file: /etc/xinetd.d/rlogin change disable to no
  • restart xinetd

In nimrodcentos2, several things need to be taken care of:

  • pbs.conf PBS_O_HOME, PBS_O_HOST, PBS_O_WORKDIR need to be removed from the config file, they will be configure accordingly to the VM –> put it in ~/.bash_profile
  • remove user, try to use sssd from beginning: okie. Using kinit with other account, then have to config it manually. i.e. paths, Nimrod, pbs stuff.
